Step into Limehouse Wharf, the new, uber-luxury apartment building in Canary Wharf where celebrities who have had 'work' done can hole up until they have healed and which is about to see its most glamorous and scandalous Christmas yet.

Staying there over the festive period is Melody Dale, an actress whose career is in tatters after too much plastic surgery and who has fled LA to get her body and her boyfriend back. But is a 'well-meaning' friend about to sabotage all of Melody's Christmas wishes?

Meanwhile, Aniela Jasicki, the nurse in residence, finds herself falling for the unlikely Jon Jordan, an assassin for hire who is also convalescing there. Will her feelings be reciprocated or will their sizzling relationship remain purely physical? And who is he on the run from?

And then there's oligarch Grigor Khalofsky, the owner of Kensington football team, whose legendary Christmas party is about to get a whole lot more exciting when murder, blackmail and scandalous revelations decide to pay a visit along with Santa.
My first ever book by Rebecca Chance was Killer Heels, which I loved immensely. It was bitchy, naughty and racy. Just how a "bonkbuster" should be. Yes, "bonkbusters" are a sub-genre of chick lit, which focuses on scandal and the naughty, sexy side of chick lit, inching to romance. I was thrilled to be sent a copy of Bad Angels, Rebecca's second novel of the year.

Bad Angels and Killer Heels are completely different. Killer Heels is more on fashion, the bitch-boss from hell, the fast-paced city of Manhattan, whereas Bad Angels focuses on films, plays and celebrities, the not-so-peaceful tranquillity of Limehouse Reach. Both different plots and set of characters but the only thing that makes it a "Rebecca novel" is, undoubtedly the sex. Shhhh.

Honest to truth, Rebecca Chance is quickly become one of my favourite bonkbuster writers. She has a certain flair in writing through her characters and that's really something if you're writing from different points of view. Although she writes from various perspectives, she cleverly incorporates the storyline into the character's personal lives, as the characters' backgrounds are woven together to allow the plot to have more depth.

Bad Angels was a really enjoyable read for me as it was a perfect mix of sex, scandal, blackmail and of course, murder. Although it proved to be a saucy, scandalous Christmas-themed novel, it was totally worth staying up to finish it. I wouldn't want to give much away but every character has their own side of the story, which builds up to an epic finale. The suspense towards the end was palpable and utterly thrilling as I was so hoping for the ending I want, though it didn't end the way I wanted it to, only better.

I'll go through each character briefly to give you a feel of what to expect in this sizzling novel, though you'd be surprised. Melody; sweet and innocent but unfortunately naive. Serenaded by the siren song of LA and the glitz of Hollywood, gets a terrible makeover and has returned to London to fix the mistakes she had made. And also to win her boyfriend back. Aniela, Polish nurse, hardworking, caring but lives a sad, morbid life of taking care of rich, broken patients until she meets Jon, man of many mysteries. Grigor Khalofsky, host of legendary parties and very bad man, but has a good heart at the same time. And his wife, oh my. That cow, I hated her so much.

I do have a particular favourite part, sorry: parts. I have so many! From the sizzling hot gay sex scene to the wonderfully romantic part where Melody wins James's heart back. Sigh. Just like Killer Heels, which a part of it focuses on homosexuality, Bad Angels did have that particular element and it was so good. It really plays a part in today's society as more and more homosexuals are coming out. I did enjoy the last part, so much drama and what an action-thriller!

Bad Angels was THE bonkbuster for me this year. Sorry, Rebecca. I loved Killer Heels as it was so high fashion and glamorous but nothing can beat the sparkle of a delicious saucy Christmas read. Naughty, sexy and downright irresistible! And keep watch, guys. Rebecca Chance is one to look out for. Her next one will be about naughty Princes and their royal mess!
