Interview : Meet.. Georgie Hart! PLUS A GIVEAWAY!

Last month, I got the chance to review Alexandra Brown's debut novel, CUPCAKES AT CARRINGTON'S. I am happy to report that it was a fun, delectable novel which you will devour in a heartbeat!

Today at I Heart.. Chick Lit, I've got a special treat for you, my lovely readers! To celebrate Valentine's Day with ME and of course, Alexandra, we have decided to give away 3 copies of CUPCAKES AT CARRINGTON'S! More info below.

I got the wonderful opportunity to have a little chat with the heroine of the book, Georgie Hart. Here's what we talked about!

1. What are the 5 things you can’t live without? Not including Eddie.

Red velevet cupcakes, I’m addicted to them, mm-mmm.
Milky tea, I’m addicted to that too, epsecially on my way in to work at Carrington’s dept. store.
Twitter, I love to tweet, although it has got me in to trouble on occasion, just ask Ciaran, the waiter in Sam’s cafĂ©.
My giant sleep-in rollers, without them my hair just ends up looking like floppy Spaniel ears.
TV, I love a good reality show, I’m hooked on the Real Housewives series.
Can I have a sixth? Handbags, which is handy given that I work inWomen’s Accessories, so I get to indulge my passion for an exquisite buttery leather bag every day.

2. If you were given the chance to do anything in the world, what would you choose to do?

See my Mum again, she died when I was thirteen, so it would be wonderful to spend some time with her.

3. Could you please describe your ideal day in Mulberry-on-Sea? Do you have a favourite spot you go to? Of course, excluding Carrington’s!

Ooh, it would have to be a delicious swirly ice-cream on the promenade, followed by lunch in the new bistro at the marina with my best friend Sam, and then shopping in the lovely little boutiques around the market square.

4. To you, what is the most cherished thing that money can’t buy?

Friendship. My best friends, Sam and Eddie, mean the whole world to me.

5. Besides catching up with Sam and Eddie at Cupcakes at Carrington’s, what else do you do when there aren’t many customers? Check out the latest issue of Vogue?

Definitely, but in addition to flicking through the glossies, I L-O-V-E online window shopping, so I was beyond excited when our old-fashioned tills were upgraded to include computer screens with internet access.

6. What is your dream job?

Tester for Hermes, now that would be good – I imagine I would get to carry a Birkin around all day long, and I’d have to have test one in every colour, obvs. But I love my real job – selling high-end bags in my favourite department store is a dream job too.

7. If you were to wake up tomorrow, anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

In Paris, at the fashion show, just imagine all those clothes. And the goody bags, I bet they’d be crammed with lush treats.

8. Do you have a particular hobby? Besides lusting over designer handbags and your boss! *wink*

I used to love roller-skating as a child, does that count?

  2. So excited! This interview is making me hungry. I could never roller skate. I was such a big wimp when I couldn't do it the first time. Paris would be wonderful but it would be the UK for me. Sent you a cupcake pic on twitter!
