Blurb:
It’s 1992 and Sarah is in love with Cahal, a boy from the wrong side of the tracks. As they plan to graduate from university, all seems set for their happily ever after…

Fast forward to 2012 and something’s gone wrong. Cahal is out of the picture and Sarah is divorced from Ian by whom she’s had two children. What happened? As Cahal walks back into Sarah’s life, can they overcome past decisions and surrounding prejudice and make it work a second time around?

Why you would like this:
Always You follows the story of two star-crossed lovers, who can't seem to get enough of themselves. In 1992, Cahal and Sarah are inseparable. Their love for each other is deeper than anything they've experienced before and they are surer than sure that they are perfect for each other. The only obstacle in their way is the objection of Sarah's father and Aunt Vi. Fast-forward 20 years in the future, Sarah and Cahal lead very different lives, both parents and still unable to forget the one who got away. And when Cahal re-enters Sarah's life, old flames start to rekindle.

I have never read any of Erin Kaye's books, so I didn't know what to expect, but I am very glad I took the chance to read as it's definitely made a very good impression. After reading this, I will be looking forward to Erin's books in the future. Now why would I say so, you might wonder. Right from the first chapter, I warmed up to the idea of unrequited love between Sarah and Cahal. The love they shared was pure, beautiful and passionate, which compelled me to feel their heartbreak when they had to be torn apart.

The bonds among the characters in the book were cleverly written. Always You emphasises on family, love and friendship. The characters came to life in my head as Erin Kaye managed to create such real, everyday-life people that you will sympathise with when the going gets tough and wish to be a part of their happiness. Beware: the cover might suggest that it's your typical Romeo & Juliet love story, but it's more than that as there are essence of Pride & Prejudice in it. It discusses several themes, such as family bonds, tragedy, loss, sacrifice and forgiveness.

Overall, I think Always You is a great read. It surely is a rollercoaster of emotions, so if you don't trust yourself with your water works, have tissues at standby. I hope I haven't given away much about the book. Trust me, it's an engaging book about everlasting love, hope and tinged with sweet, romantic moments. A captivating book which will leave you thinking about the choices you've made in life and that it's never too late to learn to love again.
