She has just two weeks. Two weeks to teach him how to fall in love – with his own life.

Adam Basil and Christine Rose are thrown together late one night, when Christine is crossing the Ha'penny Bridge in Dublin. Adam is there, poised, threatening to jump.

Adam is desperate – but Christine makes a crazy deal with him. His 35th birthday is looming and she bets him that before then she can show him life is worth living.

Despite her determination, Christine knows what a dangerous promise she's made. Against the ticking of the clock, the two of them embark on wild escapades, grand romantic gestures and some unlikely late-night outings. Slowly, Christine thinks Adam is starting to fall back in love with his life. But is that all that's happening… ?

Why you would love this:
First of all, it's Cecelia Ahern. A big-name author, she's got plenty of bestsellers under her writing belt, so there will be high expectations for her to deliver yet another winner which will grasp you from the first page. Well, since I read PS. I Love You and Where Rainbows End, which I loved both, I thought I'd give her latest, How To Fall in Love a try and I did and I enjoyed it thoroughly!

How To Fall in Love follows the story of Christine Rose, who stumbles upon a stranger who is about  to kill himself on the Ha'penny Bridge in Dublin. Before the guy can jump of the railing, she makes a promise with him - she has to make him fall in love with life again. His life. But soon Christine realises that the "deal" she had made with Adam is more than an agreement between them, if she fails, he'll take his own life. It's dangerous and life-threatening. So she has to make him love life by his 35th birthday, which gives her 2 weeks to fulfil her side of the bargain. But when paths cross and secrets are revealed, is Adam falling in love with life itself, or there's more at stake?

Right from the start, I warmed up to the heroine Christine, though she might be a bit eccentric, but that sort of gave her character. What I liked most about her is her determination and drive to fulfil her mission that is to make Adam fall in love with his life again. And I found that her relationship with Adam was flawlessly written and described. I loved their clever bantering and the chemistry between them was undeniable!

The plot was very well-written, come to think of it, what do you expect from a skilled storyteller? From the moment Christine and Adam met until the part where they fall into each other's arms and kiss like there's no tomorrow, I was gripped by the story. I was giggling and whooping for Christine, on her success and courage in taking a leap of faith. How To Fall in Love didn't fail to plaster a broad smile on my face - loved the characters and the premise of the book!

Another incredibly written story of finding love and believing in yourself by the virtuoso of modern fairytales! A fabulous, poignant book which will leave you thinking about chances and fate and the simple yet complicating thing called love. Emotionally uplifting, you'll undoubtedly fall in love with this beautiful tale! And Ben too!

Rating: 9/10

Cecelia Ahern as Christine and Ben Barnes as Adam. I've got the hots for Ben and Cecelia is lucky to 'have' him ;)
