Why you would love this:
I am always thrilled when the lovely Charlotte sends me copies of HarperImpulse titles. Always. I really hope that their titles will be out in print, I reckon everyone (especially those who don't have an e-reader, eg. me), would be flocking over to the nearest bookstore to get our hands on these highly addictive books! And The Park Bench Test by Sarah Lefebve is definitely one of them!

The Park Bench Test is about Becky Harper, who has always been searching for her Mr Right. But as her relationship with her boyfriend continues to flourish, she's having doubts of whether Alex is actually her own Mr Right. Her life is going nowhere, she's stuck in a job where her talents are vastly undervalued and she's come to a stage of life where she has to settle down. But is it ever too late to make a 180 in life?

I really liked the heroine, Becky! She's funny, sharp and loveable! I think she's definitely a fabulous protagonist for a romantic comedy and I can picture Renee Zellweger portraying her, but that would be too Bridget Jones, but she's certainly got the charm where you would like her immediately! Becky's best friends, Katie and Emma were really interesting characters too! And don't get me started on James! *winks*

The plot was well-written, it's your average romantic comedy where the heroine is searching for her Mr Right. I liked how she lands a gig, writing about every girl's Mr Right - surely it sounds very Carrie Bradshaw-ish? Trust me on this, there'll be a surprise for you Sex and the City fans!

A fabulously written romantic comedy which is incredibly funny, original and charming about a girl's quest in finding for Mr Right, with a few cock-ups along the way, of course! It's filled with sweet romance, great dialogue and a very handsome man. The Park Bench Test will definitely appeal to fans of Sophie Kinsella and Jane Costello.

Rating: 8/10

Isla Fisher as Becky and Chris Hemsworth (he's mine!) as James
