BLOG TOUR: A Cinderella Christmas by Holly Kingston

I am so thrilled to be a part of the blog tour for Holly Kingston's new eBook short story published by Novelicious Books! The ever lovely Holly has written a guest post for us today, it's a bit of a sneak peek on her book, A Cinderella Christmas which sounds absolutely fabulous!

Despite her busy schedule we’ve been lucky enough to get an audience with the lady of the hour, Charmaine Lewis, who plays Cinderella in A Cinderella Christmas. We did have an array of Christmassy questions...but due to time restraints... Charmaine was only inclined to be paid to comment on this one;

CHARMAINE LEWIS – MY TOP FESTIVE TIPPLES – BY ME CHARMAINE
Hi, for those of you who haven’t seen my reality show, bought my music, or seen my cameo in Doctor Who – in which case where have you been? My name is Charmaine Lewis! And I’ve been paid by my people to tell you what’s best to drink this Christmas!

I generally like to start the day with a glass of sweet Zinfandel rose wine, especially if I’m detoxing and feeling a little grumpy. If I’m in the hairdressers having ethically sourced real hair woven onto my head, then I like to go for something a little longer. Like a bottle.

But Christmas is that time of year when it’s perfectly acceptable to have cocktails for lunch, and if you have the calorie allowance left then Baileys for breakfast. In fact I love it so much that I start celebrating in October. Here are my top five festive tipples for when NOT drinking just seems a smidgen on the un-festive side. Oh hang on, yeah, my manager has said I need to mention some bloody quote, oh now I’ve remembered it, “please drink responsibly”. My manager is a boring idiot.

OK, list time:

NUMBER 5 – WHITE WINE - It’s not particularly wintery, and I can’t recommend any particular type, colour, or grape thingy, until I get sponsorship. But white wine is easy to get out of clothes if your dog accidentally knocks your glass over. Similarly if the bottle in your handbag breaks, white wine does less damage than red. I’m a very forward thinker.

NUMBER 4 – MULLED WINE -Mulled wine is very festive, and it’s made from Mull which I think is an antioxidant type of clove. Plus I think it has a very low alcohol content so you can drink it whenever. It’s a great mid afternoon drink. It has fruit in it too, so it’s part of your five a day - very healthy. And you can always add a little something to it, if you want to jazz it up a little!

NUMBER 3 – BAILEYS -  Baileys isn’t technically an alcoholic drink. It’s more of a liquid dessert. I try not to drink too much of it in case my thighs show signs of dimpling. But at this time of year it’s OK to treat yourself, as long as you only eat celery for the rest of the day.

NUMBER 2 – SNOWBALL - I’ve got no idea what’s in a Snowball. I was supposed to Google it so this article was useful but I really couldn’t be bothered. I think it’s probably got snow in it though.

NUMBER 1 – A CINDERELLA FIZZ - My favourite cocktail. It’s Amaretto and Champagne. If the marketing people at Crystal would like to contact my agent I’m available for brand representation.

Can we finish writing this now? I’m bored.

PS Please watch my show, I’m awesome in it. Love my fans always. Charamaine. Kiss. Ok Lucy, you can stop typing now. Stop typing everything I say Lucy! LUCY...Ok, you’re just taking the piss writing in capitals now aren’t you...
