Blurb:
Cassie Smith has been out of work for a while but she has an idea. Drawing on her love of Christmas, she begins charging for small things: wrapping presents; writing cards; tree-decorating. She’s soon in huge demand and Cassie’s business, Calling Mrs Christmas, is born.

Carter Randall wants to make Christmas special for his children, so he enlists Cassie’s help, and his lavish requests start taking up all her time. Thank goodness she can rely on her loving partner Jim to handle the rest of her clients.

When millionaire Carter asks Cassie to join his family on a trip to Lapland, she knows she shouldn’t go…

Suddenly, Cassie finds herself facing a heart-breaking choice that could change her entire life.

Why you would love this:
Carole Matthews, famous for her fabulous heartwarming stories, especially during Christmastime is back with another whooping winner! Calling Mrs Christmas is a much needed book for those of you who can't wait for Christmas!

Calling Mrs Christmas focuses on heroine Cassie Smith, who has been made redundant and spends her days watching the telly and being a total couch potato. When inspiration strikes, she sets up a business where she helps her clients construct the perfect Christmas, hence Calling Mrs Christmas! is born! I really adored the entire concept of the book, as it revolves around Christmas and all things that are jolly!

I warmed up to the characters very quickly as they were well-written and when you're introduced to them, you can't help smiling when reading about them! I think Cassie was a brilliant heroine and her boyfriend Jim is the dream partner for every girl! And don't get me started on the handsome Carter Randall! *fans self*

Throughout the novel, readers will not stop gasping and cooing at the beautiful and detailed descriptions of the surroundings in the book, all thanks to Carole Matthews's uncanny ability in storytelling. Reading about the winter wonderland that is Lapland was a thrill, as I've never seen snow before so I was really excited when the characters arrived in the picturesque Swedish snowy kingdom.

A fabulously festive and sparkling novel which you will love especially during this time of the year. Delightful, emotional and wonderful right from the start. You'll definitely laugh out loud and shed a few tears but with an ending as sweet as this, it's worth it. Readers of Carole Matthews won't be disappointed and if you've never read a Carole Matthews novel, Calling Mrs Christmas would be the perfect start for you!

Rating: 9/10
