It's Valentine's Day and where better to be than on Kevin's fantastic blog, I Heart Chick Lit. I've loved popping into different blogs on the tour for my debut novel How to Get a (Love) Life, and am always utterly overwhelmed by the bloggers' love for books.So, what better way to celebrate this day than by giving you some of the many reasons why I Heart … Books? Here we go ...
1. Books comfort me when it is late at night and the day has been long and my brain is all messy.
2. Books make a bubble bath even more amazing.
3. Books are always offering me something new.
4. Books makes me laugh.
5. Books make me cry.
6. Books open me up to experiences I'd never even thought about.
7. Books come on holiday with me and we hang out in the sun together.
8. Books get dog-eared as I pass them to friends to read.
9. Books will always be written because writers can't not write.
10. Books will always be something I can chat about with friends and family.
11. Books look cool displayed in genre order on my shelves.
12. Books remind me that there is a big wide world out there all for me to explore.
13. Books smell nice.
14. Books are perfect companions for a cold winter's night in front of the fire.
15. Books are, well, books. And I totes heart them.
