Three best friends. One five-star hotel. Will it be the holiday of a lifetime . . .?

Imogen and her friends Meredith and Nicola have had their fill of budget holidays, cattle-class flights and 6 a.m. offensives for a space by the pool. So when Meredith wins a VIP holiday at Barcelona's hippest new hotel, they plan to sip champagne with the jet set, party with the glitterati and switch off in unapologetic luxury.

But when the worst crisis of her working life erupts back home, Imogen has to juggle her BlackBerry with a Manhattan, while soothing a hysterical boss and hunting down an AWOL assistant.

Between a robbery, a run-in with hotel security staff and an encounter on a nudist beach that they'd all rather forget, the friends stumble from one disaster to the next. At least Imogen has a distraction in the form of the gorgeous guy who's always in the right place at the very worst time. Until, that is, his motives start to arouse a few suspicions...

I've always been a huge fan of Jane Costello's books as they are simply addictive and wonderfully written. Jane Costello definitely hits the right spots for a fabulous romantic comedy and The Time of Our Lives is no exception! Without a doubt, Jane Costello is one of my many favourite authors and her books never fail to brighten my day and put a smile on my face after reading them!

The Time of Our Lives follows the story of three friends who go on a holiday of a lifetime! Forget about budgets and economy class flights. We're talking about five-star hotels, champagne and VIP parties! Well, that was the plan. What actually happens is.. well, you're in for a ride! Flitting from disaster after disaster, Imogen and her friends find themselves having a holiday they won't forget!

Personally, I really warmed up to the heroine of the book, Imogen. One of the things I like most about Jane Costello's novels is her ability to always create heroines who are incredibly down-to-earth and humble, without fail. Imogen is funny, really likeable and I feel that readers will want to root for her as well! Imogen's best friends, Nicola and Meredith are just gems. I found their presence in the novel an absolute plus for me and they addition of unforgettable antics really made me laugh out loud!

Basically, The Time of Our Lives may seem like your ideal summer read, but no. Although you will pick up the book to accompany you for your summer holidays, the story will definitely stay with you for a very long time. The thing is, it's not just a light, fun story of a few friends finding love while on holiday, it's about finding yourself, deciding on what truly matters in life and friendship. It's Imogen's (and possibly her friends') journey of self-discovery.

I laughed, I gasped, I cheered and I aww-ed. The Time of Our Lives is simply delightful. It's funny, romantic and wonderfully entertaining. It's the pick-me-up I desperately needed after my exams (and results!), the perfect antidote and what a way to get us all excited for summer! Don't miss The Time of Our Lives! A delectable tale of love, friendship and letting your hair down once in a while!
