1. Could you describe your journey to publication?
Totally not what I expected. I started writing when my husband got a temporary job in America. With no friends or family around me, my career left behind in the UK I decided that it was my chance to pursue a long held dream to write a book and so I began my romantic comedy novel No One Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday. When I finished it I was lucky enough to get an agent straight away who got me published in several overseas countries bit not in the UK! I first held my book in my hands in Polish! After a long time waiting for that elusive UK publishing deal I decided the time was right to try self-publishing. I'm so glad I did. My novel became an ebook best-seller gathering over 800 five star reviews which lead to Penguin Random House signing me up for a four book deal. So this week I finally get to see my book in a book shop in English.

2. What is the biggest challenge as an author?
I think it's easy to get distracted but you have to focus on the writing and making sure that is as good as it can be. I believe people are hungry for fresh ideas that translate well into novels and are written brilliantly. That is the biggest challenge.

3. Describe No-One Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday in 5 words.
One night stand equals chaos
4. Are you working on another novel? If so, could you tell us about it?
I'm just finishing my next novel due out in the Autumn called I WILL MARRY GEORGE CLOONEY (BY CHRISTMAS). Michelle works in a chicken factory in the East Midlands and nothing in her life has gone according to plan. She decides her only option to get her out of the mess she is in is to try and marry George Clooney!
5. Quickfire Round!
Coffee or tea?
Coffee or tea?
Coffee - Just bought a pod machine - totally addictive
Ice-cream or smoothie?
Ice Cream
Chocolate: milk or dark?
Either....with wine!
Chris Evans or Ryan Gosling?
Chris Evans everytime. Big hero of mine. He was the soundtrack to my life in my twenties on Radio 1 and now I love him on Radio 2. As attractive as Ryan is I think Chris would be way better fun.
Desperate Housewives or Sex and the City?
Tricky. I'm going to go with Sex in the City. Funnier and braver. Candace Bushnell is also from the same town we lived in in Connecticut and I met her once.
Summer or winter?
Summer - I like the instant cool feeling you get from wearing shades no matter what horror you are wearing!
Peanut butter or Nutella?
Nutella - but it is banned in out house through fear of over indulgence
Paperback or eBook?
eBook of course....I am an eBook best seller after all!
