I had so much fun last year with the Billy and Me blog tour and I was jumping around with joy when Penguin asked me to take part in the You're The One That I Want blog tour! SQUEALS. To kick things off, the ever lovely Giovanna Fletcher has written about her heroine, Maddy's hen do. Over to you, Gi!
Her Hen Do:
Well, it wouldn’t be Maddy choosing what to do as it would totally be
down to the bridesmaids – but, if she were the one choosing I think
she’d love to be recapturing her drunken nights out for what’ll
supposedly be her ‘last night of freedom’. Luckily for her the girls
organising her hen do are from her uni days – so I’m sure she’d get the
night she was after… A weekend away in Bristol with all her clucking
hens, as they toured all of her friendly haunts from years gone by –
being forced to down shots at each location (occasionally more than
one), whilst wearing ‘L’ plates and, rather more embarrassingly, blow up
willies. There’d be dares to spice everything up and turn things
naughty, but Maddy would find the whole thing hilarious and embrace it
wholeheartedly – even when she has to ask an unsuspecting male victim to
put on her garter for her… using his teeth.
On the flip side (and maybe as a daytime activity that weekend),
something like Go-Ape would be great fun and capture her summers spent
swinging in trees with Robert and Ben. After all, there has to be at
least one part of the weekend that’s tame and enjoyable for her mum and
future mother-in-law (although it’s probable that they’d enjoy the
stripper just as much as the others).
