Blurb:
Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) is on a major rescue mission! Hollywood was full of surprises, and now she's on a road trip to Las Vegas to help her friends and family.

She's determined to get to the bottom of why her dad has mysteriously disappeared, help her best friend Suze and even bond with long-time enemy Alicia Bitch Long-legs (maybe...).

As Becky discovers just how much her friends and family need help, she comes up with her biggest, boldest, most brilliant plan yet! So can she save the day just when they need her most?

It goes without saying that I adore everything the queen of chick lit and romantic comedies and the reason why I fell in love with the genre, writes. Last year, I read and thoroughly enjoyed Shopaholic to the Stars, where Becky finds herself in the ever sunny LA and the land of celebrities. But Shopaholic to the Stars ended with a cliffhanger, leaving readers with wild in speculation.

Shopaholic to the Rescue continues where the previous book left off, where Becky and the gang go on a wild goose chase after her father and Suze’s husband, Tarquin. Their adventure takes them to Las Vegas to retrace their footsteps. But where would a small lead get them?

Shopaholic to the Rescue is the 8th (!) Shopaholic book and I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia. I remember picking up A Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic when I was 14 and that was when I fell completely in love with the genre after reading Sophie Kinsella’s irresistible humour and charm. We’ve come a long way, Becky.

I have always rooted for Becky because she’s a heroine that you would want as your closest friend and you know she’d be there for you when you need her. In Shopaholic to the Rescue, things have changed and circumstances have made Becky reflect on the things she has done and the decisions she has made. There’s a change in Becky and we get to see a more matured, grown up version of Becky as she rises up and becomes a solid, dependable figure when all break loose around her. A part of me carried a strong sense of pride for my Becky girl!

Zinging from one lead to another, Becky and the gang’s adventure in the US has never been more exciting! Knowing Sophie Kinsella, do expect a few surprising twists and turns on Becky’s adventure. As ever, Sophie Kinsella exhibits her flair by writing another comical, laugh-out-loud and undeniably charming novel. Sophie Kinsella adds another dazzling novel into her string of novels and Shopaholic to the Rescue is all kinds of awesome and one that you shouldn’t miss!

I'd like to thank Transworld UK for sending me a proof copy for review. Shopaholic to the Rescue is out now on hardcover and eBook.
