Waiting on Wednesday #4

Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that everyone’s excited about!

wow

Hello, hello! Since I've started doing Waiting on Wednesday posts, I realised that there are so many books that I am looking forward to reading!

Eep! I was quite heartbroken when Strange the Dreamer was rescheduled for a later release. Instead of its September 2016 release, we have to wait until March 2017! But I am sure that Laini Taylor's masterpiece is worth the wait.

Blurb from Goodreads:

Strange the Dreamer is the story of:

the aftermath of a war between gods and men
a mysterious city stripped of its name
a mythic hero with blood on his hands
a young librarian with a singular dream
a girl every bit as perilous as she is imperiled
alchemy and blood candy, nightmares and godspawn, moths and monsters, friendship and treachery, love and carnage.

Welcome to Weep.

Strange the Dreamer is out on 28th March 2017, published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.

Are you a fan of Laini Taylor? Are you excited for Strange the Dreamer?

  1. This book has been on my mind all morning Kevin! HAHA! The Daughter of Smoke & Bones will always be one of my top fave trilogies (don't have many) so I've been patiently waiting for Laini new. When I saw the cover reveal & read the synopsis I marked it on my calendar....only to go back & change the date with a sad face. 1 line alone keeps me looking at the days with anticipation...."alchemy and blood candy, nightmares and godspawn, moths and monsters, friendship and treachery, love and carnage."

*Le Sigh* just have to endure 1 winter before magic is in my hands LOL smh

  3. Oh, I was so thrilled. Until they changed the publication date! But good things happen to those who wait, right?

  4. Oh, Zainab! You still have time to pick up Daughter of Smoke and Bone. It was PHENOMENAL. I didn't know what a gem it was until I read it. You're in for a treat!

  6. I'm not a huge fan of Laini Taylor (DoSaB was underwhelming for me) but I'm interested in this one! The blurb sounds pretty interesting, and I'm especially keen to meet that librarian character. 😉

  7. I was shattered but it's understandable. You can't rush perfection.

  8. Heh. I thought DoSaB was hella good. The ending in DoGaM wasn't a huge shocker though. But still, a good trilogy.

I'm dead excited too! And the cover is bound to look amazing in real life! The gold foil!

  9. I think it was the romance - it felt too insta-lovey for me and I just wasn't into it. I've heard that about the series, though, i.e. that it gets better with every book. :P

  10. For me, the first book was the best because it was where everything started.

I think that was the point. They were supposed to fall in love. Haha.
